Jake Paul has told Ryan Garcia he will be ‘p****d off’ with him as a friend if the troubled boxer is found to have knowingly taken performance-enhancing drugs.

Garcia, 25, tested positive for banned substance Ostarine the day before and the day of his victory over Devin Haney on April 20, with boxing journalist Dan Rafael breaking the news earlier this week.

It has cast a major shadow over a win that went down as the greatest of his career to date, after he floored Haney three times on his way to a majority-decision triumph.

Since his positive tests came to light on Wednesday, Garcia has been protesting his innocence on social media, insisting he has never knowingly taken performance-enhancing drugs.

And on Friday night the fighter did so once more while on Instagram live with good friend Paul, who confronted him over his failed tests.

Paul, the YouTuber-turned-fighter who is set to face boxing legend Mike Tyson this summer, first asked Garcia about requesting a B-sample test, which gives him another chance to clear his name.

‘Bro, I’ll p*** in a cup right now,’ he responded. ‘I don’t do steroids bro. Can somebody help me out here? I don’t do steroids.’

Paul said: ‘It’s just tough when you popped for them.’

He then asked Garcia how the banned substance ended up in his system if he has never knowingly taken PEDs.

‘Bro there’s only one way,’ he replied. ‘If all my tests came back clean all the way up to the day before my fight and the day after… obviously they’re setting me up bro.’

‘But Ryan… if you did do it, then that’s really f***ed up bro,’ Paul fired back. ‘And I’m gonna be p***ed off at you as a friend. That’s f***ed up bro.’

Garcia proceeded to tell Paul that he would quit boxing if he ever felt the need to take PEDs.

He has drawn heavy criticism after returning the positive tests, with UFC legend Conor McGregor telling him to ‘get your head together or kill yourself’ in a chilling message on social media.

Garcia also saw one potential justification for the Ostarine being in his system shut down this week, after suggesting it could have come from Ashwagandha Root supplement ‘Gaia Herbs’. However, the manufacturers subsequently took to social media to deny that their product contains Ostarine.

Despite this week’s revelation, Garcia is refusing to let his failed drug tests bring him down after he was seen enjoying a night out in Las Vegas with a mystery woman on Friday.

Before his former stablemate Canelo Alvarez faces Jaime Mungia on Saturday evening, the social-media sensation hit up Vegas’ famous strip or a night out at Zouk Nightclub.

He could be seen walking to the club at Resorts World Casino hand-in-hand with a mystery brunette, who appeared to be the same woman he bought a $1.5million engagement ring for last month.

The identity of this new love interest still isn’t clear, yet in a recent post that has since been deleted, Garcia could be seen discussing the price of the ring with a sales clerk, who informs him it was ‘$1.5 million.’
